So looking forward to the release of Jonathan Adler's new home decor books, Happy Chic Colors and Happy Chic Accessorizing.  The man knows how to use color in any home and I always lovingly admire his cheeky window displays at his shop on Fillmore Street.

Ain't no Party Like a ban.do Party!

There has been a lot of buzz going around the blogosphere surrounding the launch of Rue Magazine.  Anne over at City Sage has given everybody a sneak peek at the photo shoot with Ban.do, which looked like the ultimate party with the ultimate accessories.

The Perfect Pour.

How clever is this poster?  Thomas Wilder of Plaid, Inc. translated all the ways you can take your cup of joe into a visually cheeky poster.  I would love to have one of these hanging in my kitchen as a reminder of all the ways I take my caffeine.  Normally I lean towards a good ol' cappuccino.  How do you take yours?

Burano.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these pictures of Burano, a little island off the coast of Italy. Apparently, the colors are not random but a system has been in place since the 1600s that governs what house is which color. Wouldn't you just love to live in the technicolor dream world that is Burano? I would.

Watson Kennedy.

I have just been informed (thanks Deb!) of this neighborhood gem tucked away in the middle of Pike Place Market. Watson Kennedy, a Seattle shop with three locations, carries both new and vintage items that are both beautiful and unique. The colors and merchandising are absolutely gorgeous. This store is definitely on my must see list next time I travel up to the Pacific Northwest.

Florence & Florence

Florence & Florence, a mother daughter duo, has taken to selling the most beautiful second hand/vintage items. The pottery, particularly the cup and saucers are my favorite and I swear it's not because they are striped.

Since a lot of us spend the majority of our week in an office, I am always impressed with companies who try and make their spaces that much more enjoyable for their employees. Etsy is definitely one of those employers. The high ceilings, bright colors, and more than enough creative inspiration make for one rockin' work space.

Sundays are for Lovers.

I love Monday holidays, because you always feel like you have an extended Sunday that you can fill with twice as many activities as you wished you usually had time for (or no activities at all). Sundays Are For Lovers is a new book curated by Maria Alexandra Vettese, that I am looking forward to taking a peek at.

"Sundays are for lovers is an exploration in four parts: eat, rest, laugh, love. There is a particular tenor to a Sunday... there's laziness, cooking, breakfast, comfy-clothes, time spent in bed, wandering the neighborhood, sitting in a cafe, house-work, yard-work, making out, art projects, meeting friends at the pub, a last chance to get shit done before the work-week begins and then of course the end of something... the beginning of something."

Frankly, I couldn't agree more. And I will be looking forward to double the Sunday's this weekend. What are you plans for your extra day?

Michelle Adams

Last Saturday I was flipping through the April/May issue of Lonny Magazine and became particularly inspired by the article about Lonny's Editor in Chief, Michelle Adam's home. The apartment has the perfect backdrop of neutrals with pops of rich colors, patterns, and s few splash of some beautiful deep hues. Needless to say, I'm adoring her style.
