I have officially fallen in love with this magazine which means that I finally bought my subscription and ordered Volume 1 and Volume 2.  Looking forward to this beauty of a magazine showing up in my mailbox every so often.

Tartine.

Chad Robertson and Elisabeth Prueitt, the dynamic duo behind the infamous Tartine Bakery & Cafe (located in the heart of the Mission District in San Francisco), were recently featured by The Selby in a new column for the New York Times' T Magazine.  Needless to say they captured some pretty awesome behind the scenes shots as Tartine as well as a peek inside the couples home.  However, it was Elisabeth's recipe for the jam that really got me excited.  It is most definitely being added to the must cook list.

Tell Tale Society.

The Tell Tale Preserve Company is opening up a new shop on 33 Maiden Lane (probably one of the most quaint/fashionable streets right off of Union Square in downtown San Francisco) this winter.  Known for their sweet and savory items they have created the Tell Tale Society which allows any individual willing to sign up a for a membership, the chance to receive a sampling of 6-7 of their delicious treats every month.  What is even better, if you happen to live locally you can pick up your burlap wrapped surprise every month at the Coffee Bar (one of my all time favorite spots in the city) and if you don't you can get them shipped to you directly.  I plan on either getting this for myself or for someone who doesn't mind sharing!

A Porch Swing.

With only a month left in the summer I am trying to make the most of it. Even though it happens to be overcast and drizzling here in San Francisco. However, these porch swing cocktails I spotted over on Smitten Kitchen seem like they could perk up any summer evening (warm or cold)!

CMYK Bacon.

I am a firm believer that everything is better, a) with more butter OR b) wrapped in bacon. When I saw that the crafty graphic designer and artist, Neil Caldwell had come up with colorful bacon I just about jumped for joy. Yes, it looks a little strange at first, but who am I kidding I would love to try some at brunch with friends. The whole concept was so entertaining I had to share.

Strawberry Yumminess

Tis' the season for strawberries. I spotted this recipe for this yummy strawberry pie via Sweet Fine Day. Made it once and then immediately made it again, because it was that good. I have been in the mood to bake lately and would love to have some new recipes, care to share?

Yum, braided lemon bread.

It has become routine that I make some sort of breakfast bread every Sunday that I can continue to eat throughout the week. For one, because I am more of a baker than a cook. And secondly, because it has encouraged me to eat breakfast (the most important meal of the day, of course). Smitten Kitchen has become one of my favorite sources of inspiration when I am baking + this recipe for braided lemon bread is one that I cannot wait to make.

Luxirare.

Luxirare is a a weekly webzine that goes above and beyond documenting killer clothes + fine cuisine. The clothes are completely original and the food recipes are out of this world (pie pops, potatoe chips, pumpkin molds). It is something I look forward to every week.

Food is something I rarely write about, even though I

spend a huge portion of my free time cooking. So, after I
