Vietnam & Cambodia

As a christmas gift to myself, I purchased a plane ticket to Vietnam and Cambodia yesterday.  Earlier in the year I promised myself I would "move" a little bit more and not wait so long to travel to another country outside the US.  So with that in mind, me and a few friends decided to bite the bullet and finally pull the trigger on some airline tickets. We'll be jetting off to Vietnam in early April and I could not be more excited about it!  Since I have never been, I would LOVE to hear any suggestions and/or tips you may have for traveling in these far off lands!

Cinque Terre.

Missing Cinque Terre in the biggest and baddest way today.  Vernazza was by far my favorite and this one street town was the most amazing place we visited while we were in Italy. Le sigh.

Patterns.

I took a ton of photos when we were in Europe and after looking back through them a pattern emerged. This is only a sampling of the photos I took of the brightly colored clothes lines and itsy bitsy cars. But apparently I just couldn't get enough of them.

Paris.

I am in need of a Tuesday pick me up so I started to revisit some of my photos from our family trip to France and Italy.  There is nothing like Paris, nothing.

Move.

Move is my new mantra. After returning from Europe with my family over a month ago I realized that it had been far to long since I had bought a plane ticket to anywhere outside the US. Last time I really took a trip was over 5 years ago. So, with this short film in mind and my European vacation still fresh I plan on moving quite a bit more in the years to come. Enjoy.

The Getaway.

Vogue sent The Coveteur team out on a mission to document the contents of some of the most stylish jetsetter's weekend getaway bags.  Above is the result and needless to say I was inspired to start planning my next vacation.

Recap: Kona, HI

Here are a few pictures from my week in Hawaii. Kona was surprisingly very different from the rest of the islands. While it was very lush and green in some parts the majority of the island is covered in black lava rocks and brown shrubs. Who knew?!

Weekend Recap: Healdsburg

It's only Tuesday but I am still day dreaming about last weekend. A friend and I rented a car and drove up to Healdsburg for the day to meet some friends, enjoy the beautiful weather, and sip come vino. Needless to say I forget how lucky I am to have places, like wine country to escape to and they are only a hop, skip, and a jump outside the city. I brought along my brand new Fujifilm Instax Mini (a bday present from the boy) and took some snapshots.

I hope you were able to enjoy your weekend, and let the countdown to this coming weekend begin!

Weekend Recap.

This past holiday weekend was spent being a tourist in my own hometown visiting downtown, Pike Place Market, and the locks. Despite the not so great weather, I really seemed to enjoy myself and this week has proved to be a little difficult. Although, long weekends tend to make Mondays that much harder.

Hope you all had a grand 4th of July!

Timothy Goodman + the Ace Hotel.

Timothy Goodman was asked to do a piece for the Ace Hotel in NYC. The result was an entire room filled with pictures that portrayed either tidbits of information, facts, or pictures about New York City that Goodman found particularly interesting. The room turned into something that would be appealing to both a tourist or a local. You can see more pictures of the process here.
